Ms. Rishel received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Shepherd University in 2004.  She started at the Freshwater Institute as an intern and has moved up to become a Research Associate.  She has worked for several years on various Waste Management projects and is experienced doing assorted water quality analyses.  Kata has also contributed to numerous education outreach projects, including the Potomac Valley Audubon Society’s Watershed Education Initiative and working with the Rockymarsh Run Network.
