John Davidson

John W. Davidson III, Research Associate.  John graduated from Shepherd College in 1998 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree through West Virginia University in Fisheries Management. John completed an internship at the Freshwater Institute in 1997 and was hired as a full time Research Associate in 1998. John has been involved in a variety of studies at the Institute including tank hydraulics and waste management studies relative to intensive recirculating aquaculture systems. John is currently working on projects evaluating the effects of aquaculture noise on rainbow trout growth, survival, and hearing; and a study designed to evaluate the effects of low water exchange rates on rainbow trout growth and health. John also assists in management and care of fish around the facility. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, fishing, hunting, and playing church softball.
