Today, on a 100-acre farm, with a history of farming that can be traced to 1718, a new vision of agriculture and rural economic development is coming to life. Located in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, the campus includes:

A centerpiece research building with office and laboratory space and more than 10,000 square feet of greenhouse space,

All told, the new research campus is greatly expanding the Institute's ability to work directly with rural landowners, businesses, and communities to improve both local economies and environmental conditions. It presents new and greater opportunities for the Institute to build partnerships with communities, industry, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies -- partnerships that will fuel the Institute's growth well into the current century.
