Although written in 1998, we are frequently asked for our Aquaponic manuals, which we are providing below for download.

The  Natural Gas Powered Aquaponic System Design Manual provides those interested in aquaponics with a technical description of the design and operation of the commercial scale aquaponics system.

The 880 Gallon Recycle Aquaculture System Installation Guide was prompted by the need for information by teachers interested in using aquaculture and hydroponics as a teaching tool for students. The system was developed to utilize current aquaculture technology, to be simple to operate, dependable and require a minimum of maintenance.

The Operators Manual for 880 Gallon Recycle Aquaculture System was written for the 880 gallon recycle aquaculture system for use in high schools as an educational tool. The purpose of this operator’s manual is to provide those interested in using aquaculture in the classroom as a teaching tool a technical description of the design and operation of the 880 gallon recycle aquaculture system.

Linking Hydroponics to a 880 Gallon Recycle Fish Rearing System.  Hydroponic growing systems can easily be linked to an 880 gallon recycle fish rearing system. Integrating the two systems allows the system operator to use the waste products from the aquaculture system as a source of nutrient for the plants. The hydroponic growing system also serves as a biofilter: bacteria in the gravel convert ammonia and nitrites to forms that can be utilized by the plants.

The Suggested Management Guidelines for an Integrated Recycle Aquaculture Hydroponic System provides guidelines for those interested in building an integrated aquaculture-hydroponic system, it also provides an introduction to some of the critical system management issues.
