Development of Sustainable Land-based Aquaculture Production Systems

19.5-month-old rainbow trout grown in reuse system

Freshwater Institute engineers and scientists are working to develop and evaluate new technologies for land-based aquaculture systems. Current research includes a collaborative study with WVU and USDA evaluating changes in fillet quality as rainbow trout approach maturation at 20+ months post-hatch.
