Construction on the The Ruth Burnett Sport Fish Hatchery in Fairbanks, Alaska has begun in full. The Conservation Fund's Freshwater Institute has been an advisor and technical design consultant to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game since 2000. We have helped ADF&G plan for the loss of their heated source water by implementing recirculating aquaculture technology that was developed at The Conservation Fund's Freshwater Institute. At over $100 million, ADF&G's investment in recirculating aquaculture technology is likely the largest in the world. To read the latest news on the State Hatchery program click here.
